Metinvest handed over UAH 1.3 million worth of equipment to the defenders of Avdiivka

Metinvest Group, through the «Steel Front» military initiative, handed over another tranche of aid worth UAH 1.3 million to the defenders of Avdiivka. This is stated in Metinvest.Media’s press release.

The defenders received three DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo drones in an expanded configuration with additional high-capacity batteries. The company also provided two DJI Mavic 3T drones equipped with sensitive thermal imaging cameras. 9 powerful EcoFlow charging stations will be responsible for timely and fast charging, and the Starlink satellite terminal will be responsible for internet stability.

«We are proud of Ukrainian soldiers who fight for every centimeter of our land. In order for the defenders to achieve success on the battlefield, we work in our cities and purchase the necessary equipment that stands in for combat duty along the entire front line. Each of us, with our work and sincere support, brings closer the moment when the Ukrainian sky and earth will finally be safe for Ukrainians and free from enemies,» noted Oleksandr Myronenko, operational director of Metinvest.

Through the «Steel Front» Metinvest has directed more than UAH 1.8 billion to the defense of Ukraine. Ammunition, military equipment and transport are systematically delivered to the front. Also, the company’s enterprises independently and jointly with partners produce steel products for the needs of military personnel. In particular, mobile shelters, anti-tank hedgehogs, mini-bastions, hard protection elements for front-line vehicles, field stoves and sapper cats.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2022 the Metinvest Group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred UAH 20.5 billion taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. In the structure of taxes and fees, the largest were the income tax – UAH 6.6 billion, the single social contribution – more than UAH 4 billion, and the personal income tax – UAH 3.7 billion.
