Metinvest handed over 500 bulletproof vests to military personnel in Avdiivka

The Metinvest Group recently handed over 500 bulletproof vests and 350 helmets to the military personnel defending Avdiyivka, as well as small pots and field stoves for household needs. This is stated in the messages of Metinvest.

“In addition to the defenders, the company takes care of the peaceful residents of Avdiyivka, who, hiding from enemy fire, are in shelters. Employees of Avdiyivka Coke Plant deliver food packages to them from the humanitarian project “Save Lives”, created by Metinvest and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Also, people receive stoves and boilers for cooking,” the message informs.

Metinvest group has already handed over 100,000 body armor and many other military equipment to Ukrainian defenders since the beginning of the war. The company sent for the needs of the army, support of the national economy, assistance to employees and civilians over UAH 1.7 billion.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Zaporizhzhia enterprises of the Metinvest group have launched the issue of modular shelters for dugouts 2×6 m in size, intended for the strengthening the trench, and therefore for additional protection and preservation of Ukrainian soldiers life. For the manufacture of shelters, specialists of Metinvest worked out the drawings, reconfigured the equipment, purchased special steel and rolls.
