“During martial law, the work of enterprises in the rear is an important element of ensuring national economic security. Supporting the logistical security of Ukraine is a priority for Lemtrans. But at the same time, the company fully fulfills its financial obligations. Despite the war, the timely and transparent payment of taxes and fees is a guarantee of the implementation of important social programs and payments, as well as the financial stability of the state,” the company said.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in the second quarter of 2022, Lemtrans paid UAH 323.5 million in taxes from the budgets of Ukraine, while in the first quarter – UAH 159.5 million. Thus, April-June is the most productive period for the company in deductions to the country’s budgets.

In addition, at the beginning of the war, the company has transerred to a special NBU account 20 million UAH to support the Ukrainian military. In addition, the company sent over UAH 650,000 to the territorial defense forces.

Lemtrans is the largest private rail freight operator in Ukraine. In 2021, the company reduced the rail transportation of iron ore by 60.3% compared to 2020 – to 9.79 million tons.
