Lemtrans paid over UAH 300 million in taxes in the first half of the year

Lemtrans, the largest private operator of railway rolling stock in Ukraine, paid more than UAH 300 million in taxes to the budgets of all levels in January-June 2024. This is stated in the company’s press release.

More than UAH 280 million was transferred to the state budget and UAH 19 million to local budgets. The unified social contribution (USC) amounted to UAH 19.34 million.

“Paying taxes is an important part of our responsibilities, especially at this critical time for the country. These funds provide financing for important social programs, infrastructure projects, and the country’s defense needs. We will continue to be a reliable partner for the state and society, contributing to economic growth and social stability,” says Lemtrans CEO Volodymyr Mezentsev.

Lemtrans fills the state budget and, despite all the challenges of today, continues to invest in capacity. In particular, it is a project to modernize leased car repair depots, where the company was able to increase the volume of repair work by 2.5 times by replacing 90% of the old equipment (before the war).

In 2023, Lemtrans paid UAH 929 million in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine. In particular, UAH 840 million was transferred to the state budget and over UAH 88 million to local budgets. The unified social contribution amounted to approximately UAH 64 million.

During the year, the volume of scheduled and routine repairs of freight cars at Lemtrans’ car repair site amounted to 5.22 thousand units. The company’s total transportation volume is approximately 17 million tons of cargo. The main share is coal – 13.5 million tons, construction materials – 2.9 million tons, and iron ore – 0.4 million tons.
