Lemtrans allocated UAH 160 million to infrastructure and logistics projects in 2025

Private freight operator Lemtrans allocated UAH 160 million to infrastructure and logistics projects in 2025, according to a company statement.

The main areas of investment were in the development of the terminal and container business, with UAH 157 million allocated. In the second half of last year, a new partnership project, Fastiv Container Terminal, was launched. The group also implemented an investment program aimed at maintaining its rolling stock and increasing the efficiency of its railcar repair facilities.

Last year, the companies that are part of the Lemtrans group transferred UAH 644 million in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels (UAH 562 million to the state budget and UAH 82 million to local budgets). In addition, the amount of single social contribution (SSC) paid amounted to over UAH 69 million.

In 2025, Lemtrans’ total rail freight volume amounted to over 16.2 million tons of various types of cargo. Coal accounted for the largest share, at approximately 9.6 million tons. The volume of mineral resources transported during the period reached 5.2 million tons, building materials – 0.6 million tons, coke – 0.2 million tons, and other types of cargo – 0.5 million tons.

The volume of scheduled and routine repairs of freight cars over 12 months reached 5,412 units.

It should be noted that in 2024, Lemtrans invested UAH 478 million in logistics and infrastructure projects. The company’s transportation volumes for the period reached 15.9 million tons, and tax deductions amounted to UAH 712 million.
