Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant (KZHRK) in January-November 2022 reduced the production of iron ore from underground mining by 30.6% compared to the same period last year – to 2.759 million tons. This is stated in the corporate newspaper of enterprise.
For 11 months of 2022, the Ternivska mine produced 740 thousand tons of iron ore (-36.6% y/y), Kozatska – 743 thousand tons (-32.7% y/y), Pokrovska – 567 thousand tons (-12.5% y/y), and Kryvorizka – 709 thousand tons (-49.7% y/y).
At the end of November 2022, the plant produced 105 thousand tons of sinter ore, which is 67.1% less than in November 2021, including:
The production plan of the enterprise for the extraction of commercial iron ore in November 2022 was fulfilled by 70%.
The structure of the enterprise includes four mines. The balance reserves are 210 million tons of rich iron ores with an average iron content in the rock of 58.6%.
As GMK Center reported earlier, KZHRK in 2021 decreased production of iron ore by 12.8% compared to 2020 – to 4.3 million tons.
The pre-war plans of the enterprise for 2022 provided an increase in the production of iron ore with an iron content of 58.94% by 8.6% compared to 2021 – to 4.67 million tons.
