Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant (KZRK) in January-July of this year reduced the production of sinter iron ore from underground mining by 19.7% compared to the same period last year – to 2.034 million tons. This is reported by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to the company, in July the Pokrovska mine produced 65,000 tons of commercial ore, Batkivshchyna – 65,000 tons, Gvardiyska2 – 75,000 tons, and Ternivska – 75,000 tons. In total, the plant produced 280,000 tons of products.
At the same time, 280,000 tons of commercial iron ore were produced in June, 280,000 tons in May, 285,000 tons in April, 215,000 tons in March, 329,000 tons in February, and 345,000 tons in January.
As GMK Center reported earlier, KZRK in 2021 decreased production of sinter ores by 12.8% compared to 2020 – up to 4.3 million tons.
The pre-war plans of the enterprise for 2022 predicted an increase in the production of commercial iron ore with an iron content of 58.94% by 8.6% compared to 2021 – up to 4.67 million tons.
