Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant in January-June 2022 reduced the production of commercial iron ore mined by underground mining by 16.6% compared to the same period last year, to 1.784 million tons, the corporate newspaper reported.
For 6 months, the Zhovtneva mine produced 327 thousand tons of marketable ore, Batkivshchyna – 497 thousand tons, Gvardiyska – 475 thousand tons and Ternivska – 485 thousand tons. In total, the plant – 1.784 million tons.
In June, the Zhovtneva mine produced 60 thousand tons of marketable ore, Batkivshchyna – 90 thousand tons, Gvardijska – 75 thousand tons and Ternivska – 75 thousand tons. In total, the plant – 300 thousand tons.
In May, 310 thousand tons of marketable ore were produced, in April – 285 thousand tons, in March – 215 thousand tons, in February – 329 thousand tons, in January – 345 thousand tons.
The structure of the enterprise includes four mines. The balance reserves are 210 million tons of rich iron ores with an average iron content in the rock of 58.6%.
Earlier GMK Center reported, that Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant in 2021 shortened production of marketable iron ore by 12.8% compared to 2020, to 4.3 million tons.
The pre-war plans of the enterprise for 2022 included an increase in the production of commercial iron ore with an iron content of 58.94% by 8.6% compared to 2021 to 4.67 million tons.
