Thanks to the resumption of operation of the unit, the plant will be able to expand the range and volumes of manufactured products

Kryvyi Rih Machining and Repair Plant (KMRP) launched the MA4134A pneumatic hammer in the steel construction shop, the operation of which was suspended 10 years ago. This is reported on the Metinvest Kryvyi Rih’s page on Facebook.

“After a ten-year break, the plant resumed operation of the pneumatic hammer. The equipment was restored on the initiative of the workers of the press-forging department. Other workshops of the enterprise were also involved in the repair of the hammer,” the company reports.

The specialists restored all the components on their own to bring the hammer into a usable condition.

This unit is intended for the production of various configurations forgings by the method of free forging on flat and shaped strikers.

“The blacksmith on this equipment processes each workpiece according to the hot volume forging technology. This makes it possible to obtain high-quality products of almost any shape,” the message says.

Thanks to the restoration of the hammer, Metinvest-KMRP will be able to expand the range and quantity of manufactured products.

As GMK Center reported earlier, KMRP produced wooden models for casting unloading and loading trunnions. Casting of parts will be done by Kametstal specialists, and after casting, the parts will be handed over to the enrichment factories of Ingulets Mining.
