The products were shipped to Pokrovsk miners
In September 2024, the Kametstal steel plant produced more than 4,000 tons of SVP-27 grade shaped profile. The products were shipped to Pokrovsk miners, the company’s press service reports.
«Thus, the team of the rolling shop for the first time reached stable industrial volumes of production of products mastered within the framework of the Metinvest program to restore the partially lost assortment, which was previously produced at the steel plants of Mariupol,» the message says.
Kametstal was the first in Ukraine to master the production of the SVP-27 grade shaped profile on a pipe-making mill. The mine rack is designed for fastening mining products in mines and is a necessary element in coal mining technology. The new rental car passed certification tests that confirmed its compliance with the requirements of the state standard.
Since the development, the rolling mills have done a lot of work, as a result of which production increased to 2,000 tons per month in the summer of 2024, and in September, for the first time, more than 4,000 tons of this marginal product was produced and shipped to consumers.
«The path from development to industrial production of such a complex profile is the systematic work of the entire team of rolling mills in cooperation with technological management specialists, which we do not stop, constantly improving the rolling process. SVP-27 was mastered in difficult wartime, in conditions of a shortage of qualified personnel, and thanks to the systematic training of the technological and repair personnel of the shop, now all specialists of key professions have mastered the skills of rolling this profile and working with the equipment,» comments Artem Laptev, Acting Director of the main rolled steel company Kametstal.
As GMK Center reported earlier, Kametstal expanded the range of products that meet the requirements of both domestic and foreign consumers. The plant received a certificate of conformity of the international sample for reinforcing steel of class B500B.
