Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe continues to strengthen its position in the market for green technology products in Europe. In November, the company completed the supply of linear pipes for a promising energy project specializing in the production of second-generation biodiesel in southern Spain. This is stated in the company’s press release.
The facility belongs to one of Spain’s leading energy giants, which is actively expanding its capacity to produce fuel from used cooking oil and agricultural waste. This type of biodiesel significantly reduces CO2 emissions and contributes to the decarbonization of the EU energy sector.
To implement the project, Interpipe supplied 350 tons of pipes with diameters ranging from 203.2 mm to 355.6 mm, which comply with the ASTM A-106 GR 6 standard. These pipes will be used to lay a pipeline for transporting biofuel at the new plant.
«Since decarbonization has become a mainstream, which significantly impacts the European market, more and more global energy companies are launching “green” projects in renewable energy and alternative fuels. Interpipe is continually seeking new segments and developing new products. This project has become first in this niche, marking the beginning of our further partnership with this client,» said Jorge Ruiz, Interpipe’s pipe sales manager for European markets.
According to Interpipe CEO Luca Zanotti, the company has all the prerequisites to scale up globally and become truly international. Over the past 10 years, the company has undergone a remarkable transformation in terms of market diversification. Currently, its products are supplied to more than 80 countries, with a focus on Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
