Interpipe Roman plans to increase pipe production and take on additional staff

The Romanian plant Interpipe Roman, part of the Ukrainian industrial group Interpipe, plans to increase pipe production and recruit additional staff. This was announced by the plant’s director, Yevhen Dmytrenko, during his first working meeting with the mayor of Roman, Laurențiu Leoranu, according to the company’s press office.

“Interpipe Roman has already begun assessing the existing production process with a view to future improvements; there are plans to increase pipe production volumes on the lines,” he said.

According to Dmytrenko, additional staff are to be hired due to the increase in production.

Interpipe also aims to support young talent by renewing partnerships with the “Vasile Sav” Technical High School, the “Miron Costin” Technical College and others.

As previously reported, Interpipe has resumed production of pipe products at its Romanian plant, Interpipe Roman.

As a reminder, Interpipe announced the completion of the deal to acquire the ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman plant on 31 March 2026. This marked an important step in the company’s strategy to expand its presence in Europe and strengthen its position in key regional markets. By integrating this asset into its operations, Interpipe aims to expand its production capacity, improve supply chain efficiency and provide customers with greater added value.

The Roman plant is a major Romanian manufacturer of seamless steel pipes with diameters ranging from 168.3 mm to 406.4 mm. The plant supplies products to customers in the energy, construction and industrial sectors, as well as for pipelines in onshore and offshore projects.
