The company, together with NTU «Dnipro Polytechnic», completed the season of two interactive STEM projects for students
High school students in Dnipro are increasingly choosing technical fields thanks to modern educational projects. One of the drivers of this change is Interpipe, which, together with NTU Dnipro Polytechnic, has implemented two bright STEM projects. Both initiatives recently completed their season and proved that technical education can be interesting, accessible, and in demand among young people. This is stated in the company’s announcement.
The first project, WOW! Physics is a series of interactive classes that took place every weekend at the university. Teachers conducted physics lessons in an unusual format – through experiments, experiments, and live discussion. The goal was not just to explain the school curriculum, but also to get children interested in technical sciences.
The organizers hope that this approach will bring physics back into the focus of attention of future applicants. Currently, according to statistics, physics is chosen 13 times less often than English at NMT. And this is a challenge, given that physics is the basis of many technical professions.
The second project was Interpipe Mechatronic Lab, a mechatronics competition in which students programmed training models of industrial robots. Both beginners and experienced students who systematically study mechatronics at school could participate in the project.
Both projects are part of a broader technical education ecosystem that Interpipe is developing in the region together with the city of Dnipro. This ecosystem includes 15 modern educational locations with technical facilities, adapted programs, and trained teachers.
Through such initiatives, the company promotes high-quality technical education among young people and trains future specialists for industry.
In early February, Interpipe, together with the city authorities of Dnipro, modernized two school labor rooms. Both are located in schools on the left bank of the city and offer students interesting interactive activities in a comfortable environment. The company provided the classrooms with modern machines similar to those used in its own production.
Earlier, the company also purchased equipment and updated the curriculum for training future machine tool operators at Vocational Technical School No. 2 in Dnipro. In addition, two modern labor rooms were opened in gymnasiums No. 121 and No. 24. The city’s schools have recently received Fischertchnik programmable construction sets. In total, 12 modernized school locations have been opened.
Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company that manufactures steel pipes and railway products.
