In January–September 2020, Ukrainian Interpipe decreased production of railway products by 4.5%, to 145.7 thousand tons compared to the same period of the previous year, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Production of steel in the nine months dropped by 17.6% to 578.5 thousand tons and pipes by 26.6% to 349.7 thousand tons.
In September, the Company produced 64.7 thousand tons of steel, 15.7 thousand tons of railway products, 41.4 thousand tons of pipes.
Sales of round steel billets in January–September increased by 47.5% to 26.2 thousand tons, while sales of railway products fell by 3% to 147.2 thousand tons. Sales of pipes decreased by 24.1% to 359.1 thousand tons.
The main sales markets for railway products included the CIS (43%), Europe (35%), Ukraine (14%), the MENA region (5%). The main sales markets for pipes were Europe (29%), the MENA region (26%), Ukraine (19%), the CIS (12%) and the U.S. (11%).
