Interpipe decreased production of railway products by 13.4% in 8M

According to Interfax-Ukraine, in January–August 2021, Interpipe, a Ukraine-based company, cut production of railway products by 13.4% to 112.7 thousand tons y-o-y.

Conversely, steel production increased by 22.7% to 630.4 thousand tons in 8M, and production of pipes and tubes jumped 22.3% to 377.1 thousand tons.

In August, the Company produced 95.4 thousand tons of steel, 15.2 thousand tons of railway products and 60 thousand tons of pipes and tubes.

In January–August 2021, the main sales markets for railway products included:

  • CIS (43%);
  • Europe (33%);
  • Ukraine (10%);
  • American continent (5%);
  • MENA (3%).

The main sales markets for pipes and tubes were Europe (26%), the MENA region (25%), Ukraine (17%), the American continent (16%) and the CIS (12%).

In January–August 2021, sales of railway products decreased by 15.5% to 111 thousand tons y-o-y. Sales of pipes and tubes grew by 15.5% to 358 thousand tons in 8M.
