Interpipe calls for the creation of patronage services even before demobilization

The industrial company Interpipe shared its experience of reintegrating veterans at the HR Wisdom Summit and received the “Best Case of Veteran Reintegration” award from TOP-100. The company is convinced that effective adaptation of defenders after service is only possible if constant contact with them is maintained during mobilization.

«Build patronage services, because it is too late to start reintegrating veterans after demobilization. At all stages of service, recovery, and adaptation after discharge from the army, a person should feel like part of the company. This is how strong bonds are built, which allow you to avoid dismissal after returning,» emphasized Lyudmila Novak, communications director and curator of the Interpipe Patronage Service.

At Interpipe, an employee who receives a mobilization order knows who to turn to in any situation: for technical assistance, legal advice, in case of injury, or simply for support. The company coordinator’s number is stored in their phone as one of the most important contacts.

Thanks to this, after demobilization, veterans do not return to an unfamiliar environment — they return to their own people. Such people actively participate in the corporate reintegration program: they receive treatment at the company’s clinic, consult with a psychologist, learn a new profession, participate in events, and become part of the veteran movement.

Interpipe believes that it is the trust built during military service that forms the basis for a successful return to peaceful life and work.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, more than 1,500 Interpipe employees joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Some of them were wounded or disabled, but eventually returned to peaceful life and work. The company has created its own model for the reintegration of veterans, which includes medical, psychological, legal, and professional support. More than 1,650 veterans have already been employed.
