In June 2021, industrial production in Ukraine grew by 1.1% against June last year. In May, the recorded growth was 5.4%, according to the State Statistics Service.
In June 2021, production of steel and finished metal products grew by 7%, mining of iron ores by 4.2% y-o-y.
With adjustment for the effect of calendar days, however, the growth in industrial production was less significant — 0.7%. In June, the indicator was the same as in May 2021.
In January–June, industrial production in Ukraine increased by 2.1% y-o-y.
In H1, production of steel and finished metal products jumped by 7.1%, and mining of iron ores by 5.2% y-o-y.
In 2020, industrial production in Ukraine declined by 5.2% against 2019. Last year, production of steel and finished metal products decreased by 9.1%, whereas mining of iron ores by 2.4%.
