Freight traffic went up 4% in 5M

In January–May 2021, freight traffic in Ukraine grew by 3.7% to 237.5 million tons y-o-y, according to the State Statistics Service.

In 5M, water and pipeline transport in the total traffic fell by 6.4% to 1.6 million tons and by 8.6% to 33.5 million tons respectively.

In 5M 2021, rail transportation went up 1.9% to 122.1 million tons, road transportation 13.3% to 80.3 million tons, and air transportation 0.8% to 0.03 million tons compared to the same period a year earlier.

As GMC Center reported earlier, freight traffic for all means of transport fell by 11.2% in 2020.
