Freight traffic in Ukraine went up 4.3% in 8M

In January–August 2021, freight traffic in Ukraine grew by 4.3% to 398.5 million tons y-o-y, according to the State Statistics Service.

In 8M, water and pipeline transport in the total traffic fell by 3.1% to 3.2 million tons and by 17.4% to 51.8 million tons respectively.

In 8M 2021, rail transportation went up 2.6% to 201.7 million tons, road transportation 18.6% to 141.7 million tons, and air transportation 1.3% to 0.1 million tons compared to the same period a year earlier.

As GMC Center reported earlier, freight traffic for all means of transport fell by 11.2% in 2020.
