Freight traffic in Ukraine went up 4.2% in 3Q

In January–September 2021, freight traffic in Ukraine grew by 4.2% to 453.5 million tons y-o-y, according to the State Statistics Service.

In 9M, the share of water, air and pipeline transportations in the total traffic fell by 2.8% to 3.7 million tons, by 18.8% to 57.8 million tons and by 2% to 0.1 million tons respectively.

In 9M 2021, railway traffic increased by 2.9% to 229.7 million tons, and road traffic by 18.3% to 162.2 million tons compared to the same period a year earlier.

As GMC Center reported earlier, freight traffic for all means of transport fell by 11.2% in 2020.
