Ferroalloy exports from Ukraine grew by 31.9% y/y in January-October

In January-October 2025, Ukrainian ferroalloy enterprises exported 87.38 thousand tons of products compared to 66.26 thousand tons (+31.9% y-o-y) during the same period in 2024. This is evidenced by GMK Center calculations based on data from the State Customs Service.

The largest consumers of ferroalloy products during the period were: Algeria – 21.28 thousand tons, Poland – 22.59 thousand tons (+39.5% y/y), Turkey – 18.94 thousand tons (+23.8% y/y), and Italy – 12.02 thousand tons (-16.9% y/y).

In October of this year, the indicator increased 2.6 times compared to the previous month, and by 39.1% y/y – to 9.86 thousand tons. During the month, Poland imported 1.27 thousand tons of Ukrainian products (+1.8% month-on-month), Italy – 1.48 thousand tons (+6.8 times month-on-month), Turkey – 3 thousand tons (+2 times month-on-month), and Algeria – 3 thousand tons (no deliveries were made in September).

Export revenue for January-October 2025 increased to $98.06 million compared to $78.14 million a year earlier (+25.5% y/y), and in October – 2.6 times m/m and 55.2% y/y, to $11.14 million.

During 2024, Ukrainian ferroalloy plants reduced their output by 49.4% y/y – to 108.2 thousand tons. The industry resumed its operations in April-May after a forced shutdown in the fall of 2023.

As a result, ferroalloy exports for the year decreased by 77.5% compared to 2023, from 344.17 thousand tons to 77.32 thousand tons. In 2022, this figure was 349,560 tons, and in 2021, it was 668,540 tons.

The key consumers of Ukrainian-made ferroalloy products last year were Poland – 20,940 tons (189,340 tons in 2023), Turkey – 45.69 thousand tons (45.69 thousand tons), Italy – 16.96 thousand tons (18.74 thousand tons).
