Ferrexpo project recognized as the best social initiative for young people

Ferrexpo’s Femunity Teens project has been recognized as the best social initiative for young people by Delo.ua as part of the Best Employers of Ukraine 2024 rating. This was reported by the press service of Ferrexpo.

The awarding ceremony took place at the HR Wisdom Summit forum in Kyiv, which brought together the country’s leading HR leaders. During the event, the participants discussed topical issues of veterans’ adaptation, innovations in HR management and team motivation.

“This award recognizes the efforts of the entire Ferrexpo team. We are very proud of the Femunity Teens project and its contribution to the development of young people in local communities. Supporting the younger generation is a key part of our strategy, and we will continue to work on implementing this and other important initiatives. Ferrexpo constantly supports and implements projects that contribute to the development of communities and society,” said Yulia Klevova, HR Director at Ferrexpo Ukraine.

The Femunity Teens project aims to develop young people in local communities in Poltava Oblast through educational programs, trainings, and events that promote leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Project participants gain knowledge on important topics such as emotional intelligence, self-esteem, time management, financial literacy, diversity, and inclusion. In addition, the program includes training in career guidance, sexuality education, and body care. The training is aimed at preparing young people for active participation in society, developing their responsibility and self-confidence. Over the 2 years of the project’s implementation, more than 100 teenagers from Horishni Plavni in Poltava region have participated in it.

Femunity Teens is part of Ferrexpo’s HR strategy, which aims to implement the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in business (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, DEI). Since 2016, the company has been systematically working to implement these principles at its Ukrainian enterprises. Since 2020, Ferrexpo has been implementing an HR strategy based on DEI principles.

According to the company, Femunity Teens is a logical continuation of these efforts, involving both Ferrexpo employees and young people from the communities where the Group’s enterprises – Poltava, Yeristovo and Bilanovo Mining and Processing Plants – operate in an out-of-school educational process that forms a new generation of leaders ready to take responsibility and actively contribute to the development of local communities.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Ferrexpo has introduced a number of measures to encourage the professional and personal growth of employees. The company is convinced that the diversity in the team allows us to take into account the slightest nuances in each project.
