Ferrexpo has allocated over UAH 1 billion to help Ukraine since 2022

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ferrexpo, an iron ore company with assets in Ukraine, has provided the country with more than UAH 1 billion in aid. The company said in a statement.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ferrexpo has supported and continues to support more than 100 humanitarian and social initiatives, allocating more than UAH 1 billion to help those in need. We are proud to contribute to the implementation of initiatives that have a significant impact in Ukraine,” the company said.

Ferrexpo spent the largest share of its expenditures – 39% – on the purchase of transport and fuel. Infrastructure projects accounted for another 26%, personal protective equipment for 10%, and food packages for another 10%. 9% was allocated for medicines, and 3% each for consumables and components and electronics.

As GMK Center reported earlier, since the start of the full-scale war, Ferrexpo has implemented a number of key humanitarian projects. In particular, the company is actively supporting the city hospital in Horishni Plavni in Poltava region, implementing projects to create modern classrooms in schools, and helping demobilized employees return to work. More than 96 veterans have already been employed and are offered rehabilitation, retraining, and psychological support.

Ferrexpo is an iron ore company with assets in Ukraine, listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company produces and exports high-quality iron ore pellets for steel production. Its production assets are Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Belanovo Mining, which is under development (each 100% owned).
