Energomashspetsstal supplied 8 rolls to an Indian NPP

According to the website of Energomashspetsstal PJSC (EMSS), the company supplied eight rolls for the construction of Kudankulam NPP in India.

EMSS manufactured rolls for the construction of ПГВ-1000 steam generator, ГЦНА-1391 main circulation pump  and main circulation pipeline.

In the opinion of the customer, all parameters and characteristics of the product meet the customer’s requirements.

The company also underwent a check for eligibility for manufacture of semi-finished components for the major equipment of the reactor shell for blocks 5 and 6 of Kudankulam NPP.

Sudalayandi Saravanan, representative of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), and EMSS conducted a series of tests which proved the quality of metal of the two cylinders for the steam generator for block 5 of the NPP. The results of the check showed that Energomashspetsstal is well-prepared for manufacture of semi-finished components for the Indian NPP equipment.

The next supply is expected to take place in late August and will include flywheels for electric engines, cylinders, connecting pipes and 1130х65 pipes.

Kudankulam NPP is being built in the South of the Indian state Tamil Nadu.

Energomashspetsstal PJSC (Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast) is the largest Ukrainian producer of special cast and forged custom-made and small-batch products for the steel, shipbuilding, energy (wind, steam, hydro, nuclear) and general mechanical engineering industries. EMSS-branded products are well-known in more than 50 countries all over the world.

As reported earlier, Energomashspetsstal manufactured 1.2 thousand tons of semi-finished components for the Indian NPP.

In July, Energomashspetsstal supplied seven back-up rolls to Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol.
