ECA supported UAH 885 million of exports in October

In October 2024, the Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported UAH 884.9 million of exports, bringing the figure to UAH 6.59 billion since the beginning of the year. This is stated in the agency’s report.

Last month, the ECA insured 17 loans worth UAH 166 million issued by banks to support Ukrainian exporters.

In the regional context, the ECA’s services were most often used to obtain loans in Lviv (UAH 58.48 million of insured loans), Dnipropetrovs’k (UAH 37 million) and Kyiv (UAH 32 million) regions.

As of November 6, 2024, ECA has assumed UAH 1.062 billion of insurance liability under foreign economic activity contracts and loans issued by partner banks to Ukrainian entrepreneurs to fulfill export contracts.

In 2023, ECA insured exporters’ loan agreements worth UAH 1 billion and foreign trade agreements of Ukrainian companies worth UAH 64 million, thus supporting a total of UAH 7.84 billion in exports of goods and services.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Ukraine exported a record $3.8 billion worth of goods in October this year, up 18.7% month-on-month. Iron ore and concentrates (2.5 million tons, $166.8 million) were among the largest export items by value in the period under review.

Overall, in the first 10 months of this year, Ukraine has already exported more goods than in the whole of last year – 110 million tons compared to 100 million tons in 2023.
