Donetsk region will receive several thousand grocery sets from Metinvest

As part of the «Saving Lives» project, the Metinvest group, in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, will deliver several thousand food kits with the most necessary items to the Donetsk region. Metinvest.Media’s message reports about it.

Kostyantynivka regional territorial community will receive 4,000 sets soon. «Packages of life» are formed by volunteers of Metinvest’s Zaporizhia enterprises.

According to Yaroslav Moroz, head of the project department of the Zaporizhstal Operational Improvement Directorate, shipments are also planned for the Slovyansk and Kramatorsk territorial communities. The sets include cereals, pasta, flour, sugar, condensed milk, oil and stewed meat.

Since the beginning of the war, the «Saving Lives» humanitarian project has become one of the largest population support programs. More than 238,000 Ukrainians have already received food and hygiene kits, medical preparations and consumables.

The aid is intended for vulnerable categories of citizens – families of mobilized Metinvest employees and beneficiaries, veterans of the company’s enterprises, residents of shelters, residents of de-occupied territories. Food and hygiene kits were sent to 37 territorial communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Kherson regions.

International partners from all over the world are involved in the «Saving Lives» project. Currently, it is supported by almost 100 donor companies from different countries.

As GMK Center reported earlier, since the beginning of the war, Metinvest has allocated UAH 20 million to support internally displaced persons in Kryvyi Rih. These funds were used to purchase food, arrangement of shelters, implement training programs and work with psychologists.
