Domestic prices for welded pipes have risen by 8% since the beginning of 2026

Since the beginning of 2026, domestic prices for construction steel products have risen by 3.3–8%. The smallest increase was recorded for No. 20 beams—up 3.2% to 41,500 UAH per ton. The 100×4 profile pipe has seen the largest price increase since the start of the year—up 8.1% to 41,400 UAH per ton. As of the end of April, prices for construction-grade rolled steel products in Ukraine remained unchanged. This is evidenced by the dynamics of the consolidated price index for construction-grade rolled steel products of the Ukrainian Steel Construction Center Association.

Since the beginning of the year, prices for construction-grade steel products have risen across all categories:

  • channel section No. 18 – by 4% – to 61,200 UAH per ton;
  • hot-rolled sheet 5–14 mm – by 8.4% – to 38,200 UAH per ton;
  • angle bar 63×5 – by 4% – to 35,500 UAH per ton;
  • 100×4 profile pipe – by 8.1% – to 41,400 UAH per ton;
  • 114×4 round pipe – by 7.9% – to 42,400 UAH per ton;
  • No. 20 beam – by 3.2% – to 41,500 UAH per ton.

Prices for steel products depend largely on the level of demand, which has remained low since the beginning of the year. The volume of construction work completed in Ukraine in 2025 increased by 12% year-on-year.

According to Metinvest-SMC estimates, the capacity of the rebar segment in Ukraine’s domestic market grew by 14% in 2025, reaching 754,000 tons. Consumption of beams, angles, and channels increased by 14% to 180,000 tons. The hot-rolled steel segment recorded a 12% increase to 997,000 tons.

Total consumption of steel products in the Ukrainian market (excluding polymer-coated rolled products, seamless pipes, stainless steel rolled products, and tinplate) in 2025 increased by 12% year-on-year and amounted to 3.4 million tons.
