Domestic prices for construction steel products have risen by 2.5–2.7% since the beginning of the year

In February 2026, prices for rolled steel products for construction in Ukraine remained stable. Since the beginning of the year, they have risen by 2.5–2.7%. This is evidenced by the dynamics of the consolidated price index for rolled steel products for construction of the Ukrainian Steel Construction Center Association.

Since the beginning of the year, prices for steel products for construction have risen across the board:

  • channel bar No. 18 – by 2.7% to UAH 60.4 thousand per ton;
  • hot-rolled sheet 5–14 mm – by 2.6% to UAH 36.1 thousand per ton;
  • angle bar 63×5 – by 2.6% to UAH 35 thousand per ton;
  • profile pipe 100×4 – by 2.6% to UAH 39.2 thousand per ton;
  • round pipe 114×4 – by 2.5% to UAH 40.2 thousand per ton;
  • beam No. 20 – by 2.5% to UAH 41.2 thousand per ton.

Prices for steel products largely depend on demand, which has remained low since the beginning of the year. The volume of construction work completed in Ukraine grew by 12% year-on-year in 2025.

According to Metinvest-SMC estimates, the capacity of the rebar segment in the Ukrainian domestic market grew by 14% in 2025, to 754,000 tonnes. Consumption of beams, angles, and channels increased by 14% to 180,000 tonnes. The hot-rolled steel segment grew by 12% – to 997,000 tonnes.

Overall, the consumption of steel products on the Ukrainian market (excluding polymer-coated rolled products, seamless pipes, stainless rolled products, and tinplate) grew by 12% y/y in 2025 and amounted to 3.4 million tons.
