In January–May 2021, Ukrainian steelmaking companies increased domestic consumption of rolled products by 9.04% to 1.81 million tons compared to January–May 2020,
according to Ukrmetallurgprom citing V.S.K. Group.
The share of imports in the total volume of Ukraine’s rolled products market accounted for 20.87%, or 377.7 thousand tons, 13.1% down from the previous year.
The share of flats in the total imports increased and exceeded the share of rolled sections, 54.73% and 43.13% respectively.
