In 2020, Ukrainian companies increased the construction output by 4% against 2019. The volume of manufactured construction products totaled ₴199 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
In December 2020, Ukrainian companies increased the construction output by 8.2% against December 2019, 1.2% down from November 2020.
According to unadjusted data, the residential construction output in 2020 dropped by 18.5%, while engineering construction output increased by 14.8%. Non-residential construction output slightly decreased, by 2.7%.
The share of new construction in the total construction output was 36.1%, repair 36.9%, reconstruction and technical re-equipment 27%.

Other oblasts reported a decline in the construction output. In Kyiv, it fell by 2.2% to ₴42.9 billion.
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2019, Ukraine’s construction products index increased by 20% against 2018. The highest trends in the segment were recorded in non-residential and engineering construction, an increase of 27.4% and 23.3% respectively. The residential construction index was up by just 3%.
