Central Mining allocates UAH 23 million to restore pelletizing plant equipment

Central Mining and Processing Plant (Central Mining), a part of Metinvest Group, is carrying out a scheduled overhaul of its OK-324 roasting machine, Metinvest.Media reports.

The company has allocated over UAH 23 million for the equipment restoration.

The complex of repair and restoration works is planned to be completed within 14 days. The key works include restoring the refractory masonry of the kiln. The specialists are also performing partial repairs of equipment, maintenance and repairs of the unit’s drive units, conveyor transport, blowers of the gas cleaning system, etc.

The plant’s specialists note that the measures taken will ensure a stable operating rhythm of the pelletizing plant equipment until the next repair and optimize the pelletizing process.

The previous scheduled preventive maintenance of the OK-324 roasting machine was carried out in March this year. The complex produces 285-297 tons (depending on the type) of high-quality pellets every hour. The capacity of the roasting machine is 2.2 million tons of pellets per year.

In September 2024, Central Mining allocated UAH 2.4 million to upgrade the equipment of the crushing plant. The company replaced the crushing cone of the KKD 1500/180 crusher, which is one of the largest units of the plant. The work was completed in 12 hours.
