Central Mining allocated UAH 2.4 million to update the equipment of the crushing plant

The Central Mining and Processing Plant (Central GOK), which is part of the Metinvest group, allocated UAH 2.4 million to update the equipment of the crushing plant. This is stated in the press release Metinvest.Media.

The enterprise replaced the crushing cone of the KKD 1500/180 crusher, which is one of the largest units of the crushing plant. It is responsible for the first stage of crushing the ore that came from the pit. The set of equipment replacement works was completed in 12 hours.

«In the process of its constant work on the cone, the lining wears out and it must be changed so that the qualitative characteristics of ore crushing at the first stage do not fall into the red zone, that is, meet all the requirements. And the lining changes along with the cone. Our responsibility is the timely and high-quality repair of each unit of the factory’s equipment for further productive and high-quality work,» said Oleksandr Ivashura, head of Central GOK’s crushing plant.

Specialists carry out such replacement of the cone of the crusher every six months. The main goal is to increase the reliability of the equipment, ensure the quality and stability of the production process, and minimize the probability of emergency stops. Currently, the factory’s KD 1500/180 crusher is once again accepting iron ore raw materials, with plans to process more than 3 million tons of ore.

The next stage of repairs is the replacement of the belt on the K-1 conveyor. This is a significant amount of work that is carried out once every two years. The repair is planned for October, so far preparatory work has begun at the enterprise.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Central GOK executed comprehensive repair of crushing factory equipment. More than 5 million UAH were allocated to the implementation of the project. As part of the repair, the specialists replaced the conveyor belts, updated the rail track and the crane beam. The repair will allow for at least a year to carry out only maintenance of the equipment without stopping for long-term repairs.
