Cargo transportation in Ukraine dropped by 2.2% in January

In January 2021, cargo transportation in Ukraine fell by 2.2% to 42.8 million tons compared to January last year, according to the State Statistics Service.

In January, rail transportation decreased by 7.6% to 22.1 million tons, road transportation by 1.9% to 12.7 million tons y-o-y.

Water transportation dropped by 12.2% to 0.2 million tons, while pipe transportation and air transportation increased, by 16.6% to 7.8 million tons and by 34.8% to 0.01 million tons respectively.

As GMC Center reported earlier, cargo transportation by all means of transport fell by 11.2% in 2020.
