The volume of capital investment in steel production and production finished metal products fell by 52.6% to ₴18.8 billion compared to 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.
The total capital investment in the industrial sector reduced by 43.6% to ₴153.3 billion in 2020.
The share of steel production and production of metal products in the total volume of capital investment within the industrial sector totaled 12.3%.
Capital investment in steel production and production of finished metal products showed the following dynamics last year:
Mining and metals companies invested in the mining industry, among other things. In 2020, investments in this industry fell by 53% to ₴44.8 billion. Their share in the total volume of industrial capital investments was 29.2%.
As reported earlier, the volume of capital investment in steel production and production of finished metal products increased to ₴30.49 billion in 2019 compared to the previous year, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
