Azovstal ramped up production of rolled products by 2.7% in 2020

Azovstal increased production of rolled products by 2.7% to 3.9 million tons in 2020 against 2019, according to Interfax-Ukraine citing the updated statistics of the Company.

Steel production grew by 4.5% to 4.2 million tons, and pig iron production by 9.4% to 3.8 million tons.

In December, Azovstal produced 390 thousand tons of rolled products, 410 thousand tons of steel, and 355 thousand tons of pig iron.

Azovstal Iron and Steel Works is an integrated company, a member of Metinvest Holding. It produces flat and long products and rolled sections and has coke production facilities.

In 2019, the Company decreased production of rolled products by 3.2% to 3.753 million tons, steel by 1.6% to 4.016 million tons, and pig iron by 6.3% to 3.475 million tons against 2018.
