In 2025, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC paid UAH 8.5 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels, which is almost 28% more than in 2024. This was reported by the company’s press service.
Contributions to the state budget at the end of last year amounted to UAH 1.8 billion, and to local budgets – UAH 2.6 billion. In particular, the local community of Kryvyi Rih received almost UAH 1.8 billion in land tax from the company. Last year, the company also transferred UAH 906 million in single social contributions (SSC) and UAH 3.2 billion in value-added tax on imports of raw materials and supplies.
As noted by Pavlo Zadorozhny, CFO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC, the company remains a reliable partner of the state and ensures stable tax revenues to the state budget and local communities despite the challenges of wartime.
«In 2025, the company continued its efforts to achieve break-even, doing significant work to optimize operational processes and costs. However, problems with energy supply due to enemy attacks, high electricity tariffs, and the need to import electricity significantly undermined these efforts and the competitiveness of our products on the markets,» he said.
Over the 20 years of ArcelorMittal’s operation in Ukraine, the company has paid more than UAH 118.3 billion in taxes and fees.
It should be noted that ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih was able to increase production of all types of products in 2025 compared to 2024. Production continues to take place under extremely high risks and restrictions caused by the war. In particular, steel production increased by 2.3% y/y last year to 1.69 million tons, pig iron by 16.9% y/y to 2.53 million tons, and rolled products by 1.4% y/y to 1.56 million tons. Despite the gradual improvement in the company’s results, production volumes are significantly lower than pre-war levels.
