ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih confirms its status as a leader in social responsibility

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC has confirmed its status as a leader in global social responsibility. This was announced by Volodymyr Gaidash, Director of Corporate Communications.

The company’s project “Reintegration of Veterans and Care for the Families of Deceased Colleagues,” which was nominated by the ArcelorMittal group in the “Excellence in People” category for the prestigious Steelie Awards from the World Steel Association, won in this category.

“The international jury assessed the conditions in which Kryvyi Rih miners and metallurgists work and do not abandon their own. We are an example of care for metallurgists around the world,” said Haidash.

The “Excellence in People” award recognizes World Steel Association member companies for their leadership in improving the skills of workers in the metallurgical industry, taking into account the effectiveness of training programs, innovation in educational initiatives, impact on the workforce, and overall leadership in promoting the development of relevant skills.

In July 2025, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih officially joined the Veterans Friendly Business Principles. Currently, more than 3,000 employees of the enterprise are defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and more than 230 have returned to the metallurgical plant.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih was named one of the top three employers for veterans by Forbes Ukraine. The company supports its employees during their service and after their return, creating conditions for professional and personal fulfillment.

In particular, a Coordination Center has been set up at the Single Window Center, where specialists help veterans return to work, and solutions for their reintegration have been implemented. ArcelorMittal University offers training in more than 350 professions.
