ArcelorMittal increased pig iron production by 15% in 9M

In January–September 2021, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC (AMKR) increased production of pig iron by 14.6% to 4.17 million tons y-o-y, according to Interfax-Ukraine citing the updated statistics of the Company.

In 9M, rolled products production grew by 3.3% to 3.5 million tons y-o-y. Steel production rose by 7.9% to 3.76 million tons.

In September, AMKR produced 380 thousand tons of rolled products, 440 thousand tons of steel, and 450 thousand tons of pig iron.

In 2020, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih cut production of rolled products by 7.6% to 4.3 million tons y-o-y. Steel production fell by 12.1% to 4.7 million tons, and pig iron by 6.9% to 4.9 million tons.
