ArcelorMittal handed over 11 ambulances for Kryvyi Rih

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih handed over 11 ambulances worth UAH 11 million to the Military Administration of Kryvyi Rih. Company’s press release reports about it on the Facebook page.

Ambulances will serve in areas bordering the war zone. The cars will help in the evacuation of wounded and sick civilians from the hotline to the nearest hospital of the city, where they will be provided with inpatient care.

“We decided to transfer 11 ambulances to help civilians who were injured or suffered in the occupied territories. In the future, we will continue our cooperation with the administration on the most important issues. Of course, we want to return to cooperation in other areas of business, but now all efforts are focused on providing humanitarian aid,” comments Mauro Longobardo, CEO of ArcelorMittal.

The machines arrived from Europe and have already undergone maintenance. They are adapted for operation in difficult road and weather conditions and are equipped with special tires with increased cross-country ability.

Ambulances are also equipped with the necessary equipment and means for carrying out treatment measures by the paramedics. Such cars will be able to significantly increase the efficiency of the doctors’ work and the efficiency of evacuating the wounded among the civilian population of the Kryvorizkyi district community.

“Today we received much needed new cars. This is a big help. Cars will be used in our region and also in the regions bordering it. We will help all civilians who need it,” said the nurse of the field ambulance team of Kryvyi Rih Olena Dubogray.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in August 2022, delivered 7 tons of humanitarian cargo from France on its own. Delivery of much-needed aid was possible thanks to the company’s funds and the help of the company’s employees.

Also, in January-May 2022, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih paid UAH 6.2 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels. UAH 3.3 billion of this money went to the state budget, and UAH 861 million – to local budgets. The company also transferred UAH 511 million of the single social contribution and UAH 1.5 billion of VAT on imports of raw materials.

ArceloMittal Kryvyi Rih is a full-cycle steel enterprise, part of the ArcelorMittal group. Its activity covers the entire production chain from iron ore mining and coke production to manufacture of finished steel products. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih produces semi-finished and long products.
