ArcelorMittal fulfills its annual concentrate production plan ahead of schedule

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC (ArcelorMittal) has fulfilled its 2020 business plan for the production of 10 million tons of concentrate ahead of schedule as of 10 December,

according to the Company’s press release.

ArcelorMittal will exceed the production plan at year-end. This will be facilitated by the modernization of the plant’s crushing and beneficiation complex.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has completed all the necessary preparatory phases for its successful operation not only in the next year, but also until the end of open pits mining (in the next 25 years). The project for the reconstruction and development of open pits No. 2-bis and No. 3 is supposed to maintain annual iron ore production of 30 million tons until the end of mining,” according to the press release.

In 2019, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased production of rolled products by 11.2% to 4.7 million tons against 2018. Steel production grew by 11.8% to 5.3 million tons and pig iron production by 14.9% to 5.3 million tons.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC is an integrated steelmaking company, a part of the ArcelorMittal Group. Its activity covers the entire production route from iron ore mining and coke production to manufacture of finished metal products. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih produces semi-finished and long products.
