ANNOUNCEMENT: Conference «Ferrous metallurgy of Ukraine 2025»

On April 29, 2025, Kyiv will host the conference “Ferrous Metallurgy of Ukraine 2025” organized by Metal Expert, a specialized publishing company.

The key topics of the event will be the following.

Competitiveness of Ukraine’s ferrous metallurgy in the next decade.

Two panels (I-II) will focus on:

  1. The place of Ukrainian producers on the global cost curve (iron ore, pig iron, steel, rolled products), the impact on future market positions and business models; the outlook for electricity and natural gas costs from the energy sector perspective.
  2. Supply security, including availability of coal, coke, scrap, ferroalloys and refractories.
  3. Steel pipes, metal products, coated rolled products – competitiveness and prospects.
  4. The country’s investment prospects amid a global oversupply of production, trade restrictions, and trade wars; iron ore mining projects and the development of finished steel product capacities, including domestic needs.

Market and demand outlook in 2025.

Panels III-IV will address the following issues:

  1. Global markets and exports from Ukraine in 2025, including the future of trade preferences in the EU and the US;
  2. Import trends and prospects;
  3. Trends in the domestic steel market by segments:
    – flat and long products
    – coated rolled products,
    – wire products,
    – pipes.
  4. Overview of the construction industry;
  5. Investment opportunities in production and distribution;
  6. Logistics challenges and solutions.

During the conference, participants will be able to hear up-to-date analytics and expert opinions, meet with leading market players, and discuss key challenges and prospects for the industry.
