The third China Green Steel Summit, organized by ECV International, will be held in Shanghai, China, on November 21-22, 2024.
The event will be held under the slogan “Energy Conservation, Carbon Reduction and Green Development”. The conference will bring together experts, researchers and professionals from various sectors of the steel industry, providing a platform for the exchange of views and discussion of sustainable development issues.
The event aims to promote the intelligent and low-carbon transformation and modernization of the steel industry and to forecast its green future.
Steel industry is an important basic industry in China’s economy and is crucial for economic and social development. With the announcement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets in 2020, the steel industry has become a key area for achieving green and low-carbon development goals, which has become a universal consensus both nationally and globally.
According to statistics, annual carbon emissions from the steel industry account for approximately 15% of China’s total CO2 emissions. Due to constant changes in the steel market and policy, the industry faces many challenges, including uncertainty in the global economic situation, fluctuating raw material prices, and growing pressure to protect the environment. The transformation of enterprises towards environmental and low-carbon development is inevitable.
