AMKR ramped up steel production by 21.3%

According to Interfax Ukraine, from January to September, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) ramped up steel production by 21.3% to 4.1 million tons compared to the same period of the previous year.

Production of rolled products in the first 9 months of the current year increased by 12% to 3.4 million tons, and pig iron — by 22.9% to 4.06 million tons compared to the same period in 2018.

From January to September, AMKR increased the production of agglomerate by 21.9% to 7.4 million tons, processed iron ore — by 1.2% to 673 thousand tons, iron ore concentrate — by 5.7% to 7.4 million tons, coke — by 7.8% to 2.1 million tons.

In September, the plant produced 390 thousand tons of rolled products, 486 thousand tons of steel and 484 thousand tons of pig iron.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC is an integrated steelmaking company, a part of the ArcelorMittal Group. Its activity covers the entire production chain from iron ore mining and coke production to manufacture of finished steel products. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih produces semi-finished and long products.
