Mining & metals companies increased their sales by 17% in 2018

According to the State Statistics Service, the 2018 sales volume in the mining & metals sector grew by 17.3%, up to UAH 608.6 billion.

Sales of steelmaking companies totaled UAH 463.8 billion, companies in the metal ores mining sector — UAH 114.8 billion.

Consequently, sales of steelmaking companies constituted 18.5% of the total volume of sales of industrial goods and services, while sales of companies in the metal ores mining sector — 5.8%.

An increase in the sales volume of Ukrainian industrial companies in 2018 totaled 16.4% compared to 2017, up to UAH 2.5 trillion.

The structure of domestic sales of industrial goods and services remained almost the same in 2018. Regions with the highest concentration of industrial facilities remained the main consumers of industrial products.
