Support for veterans, families of the fallen, and communities remains a priority for the company despite losses

In 2025, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC allocated nearly UAH 57 million to social projects and charitable assistance. The funds were used to support local communities, veterans, families of deceased employees, and victims of war. This was reported to GMK Center by the company’s press service.

The largest share of the aid consisted of direct payments: UAH 25 million was received by the families of deceased employees, and another UAH 5.9 million was allocated to employees who suffered as a result of shelling. The company allocated more than UAH 9.2 million to charitable projects. These included the renovation of the urology department of the First City Hospital, the development of border infrastructure, and support for the creation of a memorial bell tower at the Kryvyi Rih City Museum of Local History.

The company continued its systematic work with veterans. The Coordination Center conducted 97 individual interviews, and 254 participants joined the Telegram channel “Veteran AMKR.” As part of the medical program, 71 veterans underwent treatment and rehabilitation, including 19 who received sanatorium-resort treatment, and 69 who received dental care.

The company also creates jobs for demobilized soldiers. In 2025, five new jobs were created and one was adapted for an employee with a Group II disability. At the same time, inclusive practices, flexible working conditions, and family support programs are being implemented.

«Since the beginning of the war, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has allocated approximately UAH 767 million to social and charitable initiatives. Supporting our people remains an unconditional priority for us. In particular, during this period, UAH 119.4 million was allocated to the families of deceased employees, and another UAH 11.4 million was allocated to help employees who suffered as a result of enemy shelling. We are working in extremely difficult conditions, but even with unprofitable financial results due to the highest electricity prices in Europe and CBAM, we continue to fulfill our obligations to our employees, communities, and the state,» said Mauro Longobardo, CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.

It should be noted that in 2025, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih paid UAH 8.5 billion in taxes and fees to budgets at all levels, which is almost 28% more than in 2024. Contributions to the state budget amounted to UAH 1.8 billion, and to local budgets – UAH 2.6 billion.
