Member companies of Ukrtruboprom ramped up production of pipes by 33% over the year

In 2021, Ukrainian pipe companies increased pipe production by 15.1% to 980.7 thousand tons against 2020, according to Interfax-Ukraine citing the updated statistics of Ukrtruboprom.

In December 2021, Ukraine produced 78.8 thousand tons of pipes.

In 2021, Ukrainian pipe companies that are members of Ukrtruboprom increased pipe production by 32.6% to 710.5 thousand tons y-o-y. In December alone, member companies of the association ramped up pipe production by 49.5% to 65.8 thousand tons y-o-y.

In 2021, the Interpipe Group produced:

  • Interpipe NMPP — 59.4 thousand tons (-24.3% against 2020),
  • Interpipe NIKO TUBE — 592.2 thousand tons (twice the 2020 result),
  • Interpipe NTRP — n/a.

In 2021, Dniprovskiy Pipe Works was idle. Centravis cut production by 2.2% to 18 thousand tons y-o-y. Production at Trubostal increased by 17.6% to 2 thousand tons.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, citing its own sources, in April 2020, Interpipe NTRP’s pipe-rolling assets have formally become part of Interpipe Niko Tube.

In 2021, companies which are not members of Ukrtruboprom showed the following results:

  • Ilyich Iron and Steel Works — 108.6 thousand tons (-28.7% against 2020),
  • Kominmet — 161.6 thousand tons (-1.3%).

In 2020, Ukraine cut production of pipes by 16.3% to 854 thousand tons y-o-y.
