The company's strategy was to intensify R&D and master new pipe products

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has made progress in the European market by intensifying R&D and launching new pipe products into production.

This was announced by the company’s GR director, Natalia Sydoruk, during the forum “Through Thorns to the EU,” organized by the publication Ukrainska Pravda.

According to her, the company has been operating in the European market for almost a quarter of a century, but during the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, it became a growth market for the group. Europe has many different niches and unique customer requests, while standards and requirements are very high. In order to meet them, Interpipe has intensified its R&D efforts, mastered and launched more than 250 new pipe products specifically for European consumers.

Natalia Sydoruk noted that this has yielded results. In recent years, Interpipe has been able to enter a number of narrow supply segments (pipes for the production of truck axles, salt mining in Italian deposits, pipes for the reconstruction of a high-altitude resort in the Swiss Alps).

In addition, the company developed specialized micropiles for a client in Slovakia for the reconstruction of a railway bridge—traditional solutions were not possible in this case due to the specific characteristics of the soil.

«Over the years, Interpipe has become a reliable partner for Europeans; they already see us as a European company, not an importer. In addition, our company has significantly lower CO₂ emissions per ton of pipe produced than many other manufacturers. This is a win-win situation for both sides; we are by no means a competitor, but a partner of the European Union,» stated Natalia Sydoruk.

It should be noted that Interpipe is expanding its presence in the machine-building market and is entering the supply segment for the extractive industry. The company has fulfilled a trial order from a French manufacturer of drilling tools, supplying linear pipes that meet European standards.
