The new top manager has many years of experience in sustainable development and industrial ecology
Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has announced the appointment of Andriy Ostapets as Director of Ecology and Industrial Safety. He took up his duties on August 27, 2025.
Andriy Ostapets has extensive experience in environmental protection and the implementation of sustainable development standards in large industrial companies. He began his career in Kryvyi Rih at the Northern Mining and Processing Plant, where he worked as head of the dust ventilation service and managed a project to modernize gas cleaning equipment.
He subsequently held management positions at leading Ukrainian corporations. In particular, he was responsible for the implementation of environmental programs at Metinvest Holding, and later headed the ecology and sustainable development departments at DTEK Energy.
The new director has a professional education: he graduated from Kryvyi Rih National University with a degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection. In addition, Andriy Ostapets successfully completed the ESG Leadership program at the Cambridge Institute, which allowed him to combine practical experience with modern international approaches in the field of ecology and corporate sustainability.
Interpipe emphasizes that the appointment of the new CEO is an important step in the development of the company’s environmental policy, particularly in terms of reducing environmental impact, ensuring industrial safety, and integrating ESG principles into production processes.
As a reminder, Interpipe previously appointed a new CEO, Luca Zanotti. The previous CEO, Andriy Korotkov, will remain in top management and take on the role of COO.
