The antidumping duty of 26.35% extended until December 24, 2022

The Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to extend the antidumping duty on imports of ferrosilicon manganese from Ukraine until the end of 2022, a statement on the Commission’s website reads.

Eurasian Economic Commission extended the tariffs on Ukraine-made products until December 24, 2022. Initially, the duty was to be  collected by June 24, 2022.

The duty rate will remain unchanged at 26.35%. Products of this duty are classified under the HS code 7202300000. The measures will be put into effect in 30 days from the date of announcement.

Eurasian Economic Commission imposed an antidumping duty of 26.35% of the customs value on imports of ferrosilicon manganese from Ukraine in 2016.

Earlier GMK Center reported that this is the second extension of the Eurasian Economic Commission antidumping duty on imports of ferrosilicon manganese from Ukraine. Initially, the measures were supposed to last until October 27, 2021, but they were extended until June 24, 2022. Now the tariffs has been extended once again.

At the same time, in August 2021, Ukrainian ferroalloy companies told that they did not intend to participate in the repeated antidumping investigation into imports of ferrosilicon manganese from Ukraine, initiated by the Eurasian Economic Commission. According to UkrFA, Ukrainian plants do not supply these products to the countries of the Eurasian Customs Union.

According to the results of 2021, ferroalloy enterprises of Ukraine increased production by 15% compared to 2020, up to 858.7 thousand tons. Exports for the year increased by 7%, to 668.5 thousand tons.
