Central Mining and Processing Plant completed scheduled repairs of the 140-ton MPC mill

The Central Mining and Processing Plant carried out scheduled repairs of the 140-ton mill MPC 3.6 x 5.0 at the iron ore processing plant. The quality of concentrate production depends on the efficient and trouble-free operation of the equipment. This is stated in the press release of Metinvest.Media.

To ensure proper operation of the equipment, specialists replaced the main components and parts, in particular the shaft, gear shaft, bearings and liners. The unloading box and frame of the mill shaft were also repaired.

Particular attention was paid to the mill drum. The armor, scoops, neck and butara were replaced on this design. This will help optimize the raw material grinding process and improve its quality. During the repair, the pipes providing supply and unloading of the product were restored and strengthened.

In addition, Metinvest-Promservice specialists replaced the ribbed lining in the conveyor and the cups of the lower supports of two classifiers.

“All activities are aimed at maintaining stable operation and high quality of concentrate production, which is a key task for the processing plant. The factory continues its work to improve equipment. This year, seven mills have already been repaired and three more pieces of equipment are planned to be repaired. Our specialists are systematically working on improving approaches to technological maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure the best results,” noted the head of the concentration plant of the Central Mining and Processing Plant Olexander Sidletsky.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in July 2023 the Central Mining and Processing Plant completed major renovation of burning machine OK-324 at the pelletizing plant. Equipment repair work was carried out to ensure uninterrupted production of high-quality pellets.

Also, in March 2023, the Central Mining and Processing Plant updated equipment pelletizing factories. The plant installed a modernized bowl pelletizer to ensure stable pellet production.
